Extend SDLT for applicants that have already begun their mortgage process.

Rejected 17 signatures

What the petition asks

People who have mortgage agreement now should benefit from the SDLT (nil rate £500'000) but due to solicitors being in high demand they are not able to complete the process in time. Therefore an extension should be granted for applicants already in process of buying.
We want the Government/Parliament to do this because it unfair for people who have already got their mortgage agreed but cannot make the stamp duty holiday by 30 June because of solicitors demands/cases so high with so many mortgages to process.
