Continue enquiries into 'Coronavirus - implications for transport'
Rejected
13 signatures
What the petition asks
Continue the work of the Transport select committee by looking into the impact of Covid 19 and how it relates to job losses etc. The enquiry has been left open for months without any follow up.
Data has been provided to the transport select committee from various sources as part of their enquiries but none of it has been proved or corroborated and as such, this data could be false and provided specifically to mislead. The Government should look into the source of all data and continue its enquiry into how the aviation sector has been impacted.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. This is a decision for the Members on the Transport Committee and not for the House of Commons or Government as a whole.
