No public funds or tax breaks for schools with faith or gender admissions policy

What the petition asks
Schools that restrict admissions based on gender or faith should not receive government funding or tax breaks of any kind.
State schools that currently discriminate in this way should be given the choice of either opening to all or becoming privately funded.
In the workplace it is illegal to discriminate by protected characteristics such as religion or gender, yet this is accepted in school admissions.
We believe that single-sex schools do not have better academic or social outcomes, and that often the contrary is true.
The rules for school admissions should match those for recruitment to the workplace, that we are preparing children for.
