What the petition asks

the lgbtq+ community and the different races in the uk are getting hate crime to them from something that they cant control its not right to hate crime someone for who they are like different race people can't control their skin and lgbtq+ people can't control the gender their attracted too.
its just nor right to hate crime someone for who they are.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We understand that you are concerned about hate crime, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

Hate crimes are already illegal, but investigating and prosecuting individuals for hate crimes is a matter for individual police forces and the Crown Prosecution Service, not the Government or House of Commons.

You can report a hate crime here: https://www.gov.uk/report-hate-crime

And you can read more about hate crime on the Crown Prosecution Service's website here: https://www.cps.gov.uk/crime-info/hate-crime
