What the petition asks
On average 50 newborn babies are abandoned in the U.K. every year, many dying from exposure, one this week being found dead floating in a canal.
Safe Haven schemes/baby boxes allow babies to be surrendered safely.

We have a duty to these children, and to the women who have to live with the consequences of abandoning a newborn to the elements.
