What the petition asks
Find a solution to the effect of the dramatic decline in work and turnover caused by the DVSA MOT extension.
Produce a financial support package for 2022 and beyond, to safeguard the future of jobs and businesses across the motor trade.

It is critical to recognise how much the motor trade is depending on the support of the Government.
The furlough scheme will end by Sept. 2021, the trade however will still be effected for many years to come by the dramatic decline in work caused by the MOT extension.
This has a knock-on effect across the industry and will force businesses to heavily reduce staff or even worse close their doors for good if a support package or solution is not found by early 2022.
