Make Mental Health First Aiders a requirement within all workplaces

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

The Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 require you to provide adequate and appropriate first-aid equipment, facilities and people so your employees can be given immediate help if they are injured or taken ill at work.

This should include physical and mental health first aid
Based on the current pandemic it is estimated that Mental Health first aiders will be needed potentially higher than a physical first aided. It’s important the Mental Health of the nation is put as top priority and also employers understand the importance of Mental Health First Aiders in the workplace.
