What the petition asks
It is unfair that Muslim students have to come to school on Eid. Just as students get Christmas holiday or Easter holiday,students should be aloud to get Eid holiday. It is wrong that year 11 GCSE students who will not come in on Eid who have exams either are forced to come or get a 0.This is unfair
Why it was rejected
There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
You may wish to sign this petition calling for a similar action: Make Eid a national holiday for all citizens.
If you want schools to be required to close for Eid for longer - along the lines of what happens for Easter and Christmas - we could accept a petition requesting this, but it would need to be clear that is what you want to happen.
