What the petition asks

Change the national curriculum in any way possible to learn useful everyday tasks that every adult must learn to live a sustainable life.
Teach students around the country to:
- Pay taxes and bills.
- Set up a bank account.
- Access legal and medical documents relevant to the individual.
- Sign legal documents.
- Know what investment scams look like and how to avoid them.
- Learn more about politics.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. The Citizenship curriculum already includes: income and expenditure, credit and debt, insurance, savings and pensions, financial products and services, and how public money is raised and spent

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
