Rejected 11 signatures

What the petition asks

For a safer community we need police or community officers on our street to protect our children before and after school hours to endure safety as there has been multiple attempts to kidnap children within the local community!
To have officers patrol the area to ensure children arrive and leave school in a safe manner to be able to make the community feel safe in our living environments for our children. to enable children to still trust our community to enable them to grow up in a society where they should be allow independence!

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

Petitions must call for a specific action that the UK Government or House of Commons is responsible for.

Decisions about local police operations are a matter for individual police forces, not the Government or House of Commons. As a result it is not possible for the Government or House of Commons to take the action you have requested.

If you are concerned about policing in your area you should contact your local police force or Police and Crime Commissioner about this.

You can find the police force responsible for your area here: https://www.police.uk/

And you can find your Police and Crime Commissioner here: https://www.apccs.police.uk/find-your-pcc/
