Put up homeless people in all empty places of worship
Rejected
10 signatures
What the petition asks
Force unused religious buildings which are shut or have a very low attendance to allow for the poor and homeless who are clean ( no drugs and alcohol) to board until they are able to stand up on their own feet.
I work in the service industry and over the past few months have come to realise how many churches have offices, board rooms and un used rooms that are just shut and forgotten putting up people for periods of time may reduce the strain on housing benefits and bills allowing them to look for work save for a place and move on with minimal help from the government
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. This would be a decision for those responsible for the places of worship.
