What the petition asks

Protect care workers, including those from private companies, home care and other varieties including palliative care. We work so hard and become very close to our clients who we can care for up to 4 times a day. When the end is near, still overwhelming for us all we are left with underlying issues.

Mental health needs to be protected more in our care services for staff. As a graduate of criminology I have learnt how mental health is so important especially in the work place where stability is needed. More needs to be in place for staff when it comes to mental health problems. Eg. Have a counsellor or professional available weekly/monthly to discuss any issues or problems within the work place, including grieving and supporting families.
