Free HRT prescriptions for women

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

The Equalities Act 2010 provides that the requirement exists for inequalities on the grounds of gender, age, disability, race and sexuality to be addressed and put right as far as possible.
Women are expected to function equally in the workplace but the effects of the menopause can be so debilitating they can end up being dismissed or overlooked for promotion because of the issues arising from the menopause. The current prescription for many HRT therapies contains 2 ingredients so women are being charged double, why should this be so and why should women pay just to function normally? Women are being disadvantaged on the grounds of gender and age. This is discrimination.
