What the petition asks
Make it mandatory for UK companies to disclose publicly their single-use plastic usage and to declare if they have made any attempts to source more eco-friendly alternatives.
Any plastic ever made is still on the planet. Whilst single-use plastic is very useful, it is wasteful and more than 90% isn't recycled.. Lots of single-use plastics are unnecessary but they are used because they are cheap or convenient. Businesses should find more eco-friendly alternatives or, at the very least, explain that they have tried to do so or why they need to use them.
