Increased understanding for single parents and their childcare difficulties
Rejected
10 signatures
What the petition asks
I want fairer understanding from employers for parents who are single handedly raising their child or children without help from the other parent especially in situations of coercive control
I want parents who can evidence no caring contribution from the other parent to be better understood in the workplace and greater flexibility given to manage sickness and school holidays etc
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We understand that you are concerned about how single parents are treated at work, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what additional rights for single parents, or requirements for employers, you want the Government to create.
