Urge the US Government to allow reciprocal travel between the UK and USA

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

The ban that the USA imposed on the UK has had no updates for months. It is no longer a ban that follows science or logic. The Government need to work with the USA to enable travel between the two countries, with protective measures, eg test on arrival & departure.
Proclamation 10143 has been in effect since March 2020. Americans can travel to the UK, but UK citizens cannot visit the USA unless they fit into a very specific category of exemptions (which most people do not).

The UK's COVID rates have fallen dramatically and our vaccine numbers are higher than the USA, with over 40% of people fully vaccinated, and over 70% of people having had 1 dose.

Families are separated and people with legitimate jobs cannot get visas. This needs to change!
