Stop COVID-19 testing being a condition for citizens to leave & enter Britain.

What the petition asks
We want the Government to stop COVID-19 testing as a condition of departure & entry to Britain. Thanks to the successful vaccination campaign against SARS-CoV-2 & its variants, it is time for the Government to fully restore & uphold citizens basic freedoms and Human Rights as we exit the pandemic.
The use of PCR & rapid antigen testing is an expensive, erroneous, & invasive medical procedure being used to determine the fundamental rights of citizens to leave & return to their own country.
Such prophylaxis is highly contentious as a requirement of passage or entry to any nation, under the International Health Regulations (2005) of which a core principle is 'full respect for the dignity, human rights, and fundamental freedoms of persons' in line with the UN Charter & WHO.

Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. Testing requirements for travel to other countries is a matter for those Governments, as there is no UK Government requirement for a PCR test to leave the country.
