What the petition asks
Give parents/care givers chance to apply for parent and child badges for parking spaces with an expiry date of 8 years from children’s date of birth!
The current age is 12 which is not needed when there are parents/caregivers with children in car seats prams & then can’t get the space. People without children also use these spaces & because no badge is needed it’s easy for them to get away with it.
Not being able to get your child in the car because of parking in a normal space and someone parking too close to your car - If you are alone, where are you meant to put the child when you move your car?
