Protect Golf Courses and other Sports Grounds from redevelopment.

What the petition asks
Pass legislation that protects golf courses and other outdoor sports grounds from redevelopment.
It is estimated that at least 100,000 people have taken up golf in the last year, but local councils seem to regard golf courses and other sports grounds as the first option for the building of new housing developments! Many very decent golf courses have gone this way in the last few years! Outdoor sport and recreation are important for the health and wellbeing of many people and should be encouraged.
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We understand that you are concerned about redevelopment of golf courses and other sports grounds, but we're not sure exactly how you'd like these to be protected.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
