Petition · past parliament
We want a proper May half term holiday, not one with a Bank Holiday within it.

What the petition asks
Adjust the May Half Term 2022 to accommodate the extra bank holiday gained for the Queens 70th celebration. 2 days of the Half Term has been used. Either we break up a week before (Friday 20th May 2022) OR include the 2 day bank hoilday from the Thursday 2nd June 2022 with the following week
Teachers have worked endlessly during the pandemic. Why should it be included as part of our half term? Its a gained day yet it is being taken away from our half term. Something needs to change
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. Term dates are a decision for schools and local authorities.
