What the petition asks
Add Overseas NHS doctors and their families to the COVID related travel restrictions exemption list
Overseas NHS doctors have been serving the country non stop for the past 18 months. Some of us have lost their family members back home and some others could not visit their family members while they have been sick of COVID.
All of us live away from our loved ones. Now the new restrictions has put more countries on the red list which makes it impossible for NHS doctors to visit their families and also makes it impossible for their families to visit them from these countries.

Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We understand that you are concerned about travel restrictions on NHS doctors and their families, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.
Different travel exemptions apply to different workers, and it is not clear what arrangements you want doctors and their families to be exempt from. You can see existing jobs that qualify for travel exemptions, and the exemptions that apply, here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-travellers-exempt-from-uk-border-rules/coronavirus-covid-19-travellers-exempt-from-uk-border-rules
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
