Stop plans for NHS Digital to share GP patient data with third parties
Closed

What the petition asks
NHS Digital have confirmed they plan to pool together data from the medical records of patients in England who are registered with a GP clinic, and make the information available to academic and commercial third parties for research and planning purposes.
We believe this is a major breach of privacy and increases the risk that people’s personal information could be exposed, with damaging consequences. Not only will this undermine the trust between patients and clinicians but it’s not clear what safeguards are in place to stop this information being misused by private companies. Our private records must remain private.
