Put an end to the astronomical amount Home Office is charging Immigrants for ILR

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

One of the things that has bugged me and given me a huge concern lately and would like our parliamentary Members to tackle is the astronomical amount of money our Home Office is charging for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) in the UK.
I am calling on Parliament to sensitively take a deep look into this extortion as it’s causing a lot of pressure & putting undue pressure on many immigrants (particularly BAME group) & by extension causing depression and mental illness! A lot of immigrants have found themselves having to work round the clock, picking up every available unsociable hours to offset their loans every 2.5 years! Why the huge discrepancies in the fees paid by European citizens compared to fees paid by BAME community?

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We understand that you are concerned about the cost of applying for Indefinite Leave to Remain, but we're not sure if you want the current costs to be reduced (and if so by how much), or reviewed.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
