Dartford Crossing’s impact on the Bridge Estate

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

Permit second access for residents of the Bridge Estate as the one access road is constantly blocked by traffic arising from the Dartford Crossing. It stops residents from accessing the estate for prolonged periods. Reasonable acces is requested via an available alternative route.
Permit free access for the residents of the Bridge Estate via the alternative route.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

Decisions relating to the building of local roads is a matter for the relevant local authority, in this case Kent County Council, not the UK Government or Parliament.

You could start a petition on the Kent County Council website which asks them to commission a second means of accessing the Bridge Estate, if that is something you'd like to see happen. You can find out how to do this here: https://democracy.kent.gov.uk/mgepetitionlistdisplay.aspx?bcr=1.

You could also raise your issue with a local councillor who represents you. You can use this page to find out who your local councillors are, and how to contact them:
