Ensure the police offer victim support within 24 hours

What the petition asks
The Government should create new requirements for police forces and fund increased capacity to ensure that officers or a family support officer check in on victims within 24 hours of reporting a crime, to offer support and advice on what happens next.
In too many cases it can take days for the police to check in with a victim, which can leave them feeling alone, unsupported and scared. As tax payers surely we have the right to have the support and advice from the professionals.
