To write the Alcohol word in the ingredients list of the products in Bold
Rejected
21 signatures
What the petition asks
To encourage the supermarkets and companies to write the word alcohol when it is used as an ingredient in the products in Bold. As milk and wheat are usually written.
By doing so people who do not consume alcohol in any form will immediately realise its usage in products. In this way, we save time and embarrassment. And no more stopping in the crowded aisle of supermarkets just to read the long small words that create the ingredients list.
Why it was rejected
There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
Require food labels to clearly indicate if food products contain alcohol
The bold markings are to denote allergens. You could start a petition calling for the Government to include alchohol in the legal list of allergens, if that's something you'd like to see happen.
