To protect children in schools from exposure to inappropriate material and cyber bullying from devices being used during their school day.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
Decisions about whether to allow students to bring mobile phones to schools, and when they can use them, is a matter for individual schools, not the Government or House of Commons.
If you are concerned about a particular school's policy on mobile phones you should raise these with the school directly or, if you are a student, with your parents or other guardian.
