What the petition asks

At the moment the government is threatening another lockdown possibly until next year this is not necessary and will only cause stress and grief to peoples way of life, Industry will be affected in a big way and could take decades to recover the PM has to think very hard in taking these measures.
At the recent G7 summit we saw how world leaders flauted the rules on social distancing and masks while the majority of the public have been abiding by the rules but now the public have had enough of this and the government should have to be seen as having the hardships put on them maybe being furloughed they will realise what a strain and pressure it is putting on people's lives people have committed suicide marriages have broken up its time to live with this virus and go about everyday life.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. The Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (furlough) is available for employers to support current workforce because their operations have been affected by coronavirus. Members of Parliament are not employees so cannot be furloughed.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do, such as requring that the House of Commons not meet if England is under lockdown restrictions.
