Delay the end of the Stamp Duty Holiday from 30th June 2021
Rejected

What the petition asks
Based on the delay to restrictions and the national impact, the stamp duty holiday due to end on 30th June should be delayed further. There is also a reported 600,000 sales agreed awaiting completion who will lose out financially due to this backlog. The change could be for all agreed sales.
The financial impact on many people will be severe based on measures out of their control. Conveyances and solicitors are overwhelmed with the work load so it is now a lottery on who may complete before 30th June and who won’t. An agreement should be made to allow all agreed sales as of 1st June to be included in the current stamp duty holiday policy.
