What the petition asks
Make it compulsory for all schools, colleges and universities in the UK to have a Defibrillator on site.
241 school children die every year from cardiac arrests.
Less than 1 in 10 will survive an out of hospital cardiac arrest in the UK.
Survival rate is currently 5% but if a defibrillator is used within the first 10 minutes this rate increases to 75%.
It is currently not required for educational establishments to keep a defibrillator on the premises.
