What the petition asks

Allow year 6 school children to do there transition days to high schools

Our children have been through enough due to COVID.
Please don’t stop them visiting there new schools most of them have never been into the school at all.
Deaths are low, COVID is not going anywhere it’s time to carry in regardless

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

We understand you are concerned about school transition days, however Government guidance to schools allows these to go ahead subject to the completion of a risk assessment. It is then for individual schools to decide whether, and how, to run transition days in line with these requirements. We are therefore not sure what it is you would like the Government to do.
