Let all parents / guardians attend school sports days and other activities.

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

Allow access to school sports days and other activities. Let families attend schools to watch their children in activities. We have missed so much as parents already and the children are suffering, stop all this nonsense and allow us back in school to make memories again.
So it’s ok to sit down the pub INSIDE with complete strangers, it’s ok to jump around with complete strangers to celebrate the football score, but I can’t go and watch my children run a race OUTSIDE for their school sports day. I can’t go and watch my daughter in her year 6 leavers production (the only chance I will ever get to see her do this) but I can go and sing and hug and jump around all over a bunch of men and women while we sing football songs together. How is that fair or logical??

Why it was rejected

The UK Government or Parliament was already taking the action it asked for.

We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. This is a decision for individual schools. The Department for Education have set out that there's no legal barrier to holding sports days, including with spectators:
