What the petition asks

The British people have supported our Government concerning the Covid19 pandemic.
We have backed our Prime Minister and the decisions the Government has taken.
But we cannot afford any more lockdown extensions.

We will be living with Covid19 for many years.
Our Government must find a way to reopen our country without the need for another lockdown extension.
We need to rebuild our country and our economy.
Reopening our country must be taken with caution.
But reopen we must.
Let's Build Back Better and make Britain Great Again!

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

We understand you're concerned about covid-19, however it's not clear what you mean by 'reopen'. Many businesses and other venues already re-opened following changes to restrictions on 17 May.
