What the petition asks
Make it law that baby food cannot be advertised for children under the age of 6 months.
The science shows that early weaning leads to digestive issues amongst other disease. If products aren’t marketed to an early age group, it is hoped that less will early wean promoting a healthier population with less financial impact on the NHS and social provisions. Early weaning stresses the gut, kidneys and immune system. Optimal nutrition in the first 2 years of life are associated with reduced infant morbidity and mortality.
