End formal dress code in all places of higher education.

What the petition asks
The government should force all schools to prevent punishment of students that are violating the sexist dress code.
I want the government to take more action on eradicating sexism within schools. Dress codes have a damaging effect on young, impressionable girls' self-image as they teach them that their appearance takes priority over their education.
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. The Government aren't responsible for school or university (higher education) dress codes. We could accept a petition calling for a ban on the use of school uniform in schools, if that's what you'd like to see happen. Or you might like to sign this petition
Make school uniform optional for students in secondary schools.
