Reduce VAT on veterinary services from 20% to 5%

What the petition asks
A 9 day hospital stay with a blood transfusion can cost £1000s for a dog when the full 20% VAT rate is applied. The Government can help improve animal welfare by reducing VAT on vet services to 5% to make health care more accessible to animals.
Not all pets are insurable and the Government should not take advantage from sick and injured animals and caring owners by applying VAT at the standard rate.
