Fund free residential care for dementia sufferers

What the petition asks
The Government should not require people suffering from dementia, such as Alzheimer's, to sell their home to pay for care. They should be looked after in the same way that people with other illnesses are!
Finding and paying for care for people with dementia can be a massive struggle, emotionally, mentally and financially.
It is not fair that people suffering from dementia should have to sell their homes to pay for care, even if they are 'mentally and severely impaired'.
Help support people that have paid taxes all their life!
