Modernise the DVLA - Replace paper forms with web forms.

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

Force the DVLA to move towards a web based system and away from paper forms to give the public a more accessible and more efficient system for managing their diving licence.
During the spread of COVID many organisations have had to adapt the way they work. The DVLAs reluctance to move away from paper based forms has meant staff have been forced into offices where they don't feel safe which has lead to endless strikes leading to severe delays in processing applications.

People have lost their jobs, people have been held captive in the UK because the DVLA holds their identity documents and peoples metal heath has been affected as their freedom has been taken away.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. The DVLA already allows online applications in many cases, we're not sure specifically what you'd like to be covered.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
