What the petition asks
To Create a scheme for autistic adults and adults with learning difficulties, to break the stigma around adults with learning difficulties, such as autism. As 80% of us are facing poverty and unemployment, as the education system struggle to support those with learning and educational needs.
Government funding is required to implement accredited knowledge and training to be rolled out to government staff and agencies, to acquire Autism and learning difficulties awareness. With 80% of Autistic adults being unemployed due to inadequate education and training, which has prevented employment due to the stigma around autism. Adults with Autism need to accomplish the pathway to promote independence and have equal opportunities within society which is currently not the case.
