Produce and enforce a zero-tolerance strategy to end racism on social media

What the petition asks
Leaders lead from the fore. More must be done to tackle racism in society and on social media. Recent sport events have demonstrated this in no uncertain terms. The Government must produce and enforce a zero-tolerance strategy and commit to planned action.
The flood of vile racist abuse on social media in the wake of England's Euro 2020 loss must be a watershed moment. It is my sincere hope that these racist cowards, hiding behind the anonymity of social media, are a minority. We should not, and cannot, stand idly by, allowing their hatred to be heard. The booing and fan violence are a national disgrace. But, they are nothing in comparison with the racist vitriol spewed on social media.
We can't only "Say No To Racism"; we must silence it.
