What the petition asks
The internet has revolutionised our generation, transporting us into the digital era. It has not come without problems however.
I propose the government forces ISP's to temporarily ban private internet access to users who are found to be blatantly abusive as a form of deterrent punishment.

On 11th July 2021, England lost in the final of the Euro 2020 on penalties. Abhorrent, racist online abuse followed towards the players that missed penalties.
It's too easy today to take polarising opinions, become narrow sighted and reach headlines through extreme opinions. A punitive temporary internet ban would certainly encourage a more thoughtful internet culture.
The internet is a privilege, not a human right, and not everyone should be entitled to abuse such a privilege.
