What the petition asks
The Government should make a clear statement against the current unrest in South Africa, and take action to support South African citizens and British nationals in South Africa. This should include urging intervention by the UN, and offering direct support to British nationals in South Africa.
1. There are hundreds of thousands of South Africans living in the United Kingdom, and many of these citizens have relatives and family's still living in South Africa.
2. There are hundreds of thousands of British nationals currently living in South Africa.
3. The current unrest puts people living in South Africa in danger, and is leading to food and medicine shortages.
