What the petition asks

Any cat, dog or child can run into the road unexpectedly but not all are treated with the same respect & law.

Cats are much loved family as well & deserve the same law & rights.

Just as little as reporting (deceased or not) can make a huge difference for many unaware and distressed families.

I am an owner of a cat who was hit then within the same week a friend of mine had the same happen to their cat.

Both of our beautiful were thankfully taken to the vet by members of the public & not by either driver who fled the scenes.

Thanks to these people who had a heart for our cats they were made stable, both underwent the needed surgery and since been allowed to come back home to both very greatful cat loving owners.

Just reporting these can change so much for many families.

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.

Make it an offence to hit a cat and drive off
