Get a national recognition for the responsibilities vehicle technicians hold

What the petition asks
Recognise the stress and consequences that apply to our role, and accept that the pay nationally for this trade is unacceptable
The Motor Trade has to be the most poorly paid professions there is, and yet we’re the one dealing with something that over 77% of the uk’s population own and use every day. Us as technicians have no room for error, every single day we have people’s lives in our hands, yet we’re paid a poor wage for such responsibility.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
Petitions must call for a specific action that the UK Government or House of Commons is responsible for.
Decisions about pay for vehicle technicians - provided these are consistent with national minimum wage legislation - are a matter for individual employers, not the Government or House of Commons.
As a result it is not possible for the Government or House of Commons to take the action you have requested.
