What the petition asks
Stop Dwr Cymru from building a new water treatment plant on a green field site at Pontsarn.
Building at this location will have a masive environmental and potential tourist impact on a already over burdened area. Recovering from the mess that the steel and coal industry left and currently having to deal with road building, open cast mining and landfill, all within a 1 mile radius.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
This is a planning matter for Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council (MTCBC), not the UK Government or Parliament.
