Petition · past parliament

Stop dermal fillers from becoming prescription only and to bring in licensing.

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

The aesthetics industry needs regulation to the same standard as the permanent make up industry. Making dermal fillers prescription only will not make the practitioners injecting them any safer. Regulation needs to come into clinics and training academies.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

We understand you're concerned about dermal fillers, however there is no evidence to suggest the Government is planning to make dermal fillers prescription only, so there's nothing for the Government to 'stop' doing.

You could have a petition calling for the Government to introduce a mandatory licensing scheme for providers of non-surgical cosmetic treatments such as dermal fillers, if that is something you'd like to see happen.
