Provide additional funding and staff within HMRC to address its current crisis

What the petition asks
The Government needs to increase funding and staffing levels at HMRC so it can clear the current backlog of cases and provide adequate service to business.
The government should also carry out a full review of HMRC, which would include; backlog levels, wait times and complaint levels and report these to the public.
In the past 18 months the decline in service has made it very difficult for businesses and users. We cannot continue to work with a broken system at the heart of businesses. If businesses are not getting the basic level of service from HMRC it could have implications on how we recover from the pandemic and are able to strengthen the economy.
