Provide funding to improve diagnosis of dyslexia in schools

What the petition asks
The Government should provide dedicated funding for schools to assess children for dyslexia. Many families struggle to have their children assessed, which can mean children with undiagnosed dyslexia suffer academically and get left behind
Improving diagnosis of dyslexia could be achieved by employing Specialist Teachers who are trained to assess children for dyslexia.
Too many children are being left behind, or thought of as lazy, due to dyslexia. Class teachers are generally not trained to spot dyslexia.
Dyslexic children deserve better!
