Extend requirements for annual MOT tests to trailers including trailer caravans

What the petition asks
An annual quality inspection should raise awareness and safety standards of all towed vehicles on the roads and help reduce road traffic incidents caused by faulty units.
There are frequent delays on roadways caused by faulty trailers including trailer caravans. Vehicles are tested annually but towed vehicles and trailers do not have to be tested, meaning a faulty unit is less likely to be identified prior to an accident. A certificated of roadworthiness test would help an owner know a trailer or trailer caravan was safe to be on the road
