Make all vehicle registration paperless to help reduce the backlog

What the petition asks

There is currently a backlog of postal items waiting to be processed by the DVLA. It can take up to 10 weeks for owners to get their new vehicles on the road having waited nearly a year for it to be delivered.
If all new vehicles were registered online it would be a lot quicker & more efficient. Dealerships could apply online getting new vehicles to the customers quicker & money would be paid to the government quicker. Public would be able to go on holiday & spend money in places that rely on tourism.
